Career Path
Q: Describe your career path. How did you get into what you do now?
A: I have always loved to work with my hands, so the trades were an obvious choice. I started at Spectrum helping out part-time in the warehouse. When I was offered a full-time position, I asked for an apprenticeship as an automotive technician. That turned a part-time hobby of working on vehicles into a career.
Goals & Passions
Q: What are your goals for you and your team?
A: To run a safe and efficient shop where the team looks forward to coming into work every day.
Q: What are you most passionate about professionally? What excites you most about your work?
A: I look forward to coming into work because each day comes with new challenges. There are very few slow days and I like to keep busy. I am the point of contact within the company and do a lot of problem solving over the phone with various break downs and mechanical issues. I enjoy this aspect because it gives me satisfaction in being able to help the crews limit down time.
Hobbies & Interests
Q: What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
A: My number one thing that I like to do is to spend time with my wife and two daughters – camping, fishing, skiing and snowboarding. I also love to hunt, snowmobile, and ice fish.
Q: What’s something about you that not many people know?
A: Talking to people that I didn’t know used to terrify me.
Q: Who was the most influential person in your life?
A: My dad. Everything that I am today is a direct result of his influence in my life.
Q: What is a value statement or quote you live by?
A: If you sit down and think about a problem before you react there is usually an easy solution.
